FAQ
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser for privacy.
What input formats do you support?
Paste a single WKT geometry (it can span multiple lines) or paste multiple geometries with one WKT per line. EWKT like SRID=4326;POLYGON(...) also works.
What happens to Z / M / ZM dimensions?
Dimension tokens like POLYGON ZM (...) are normalized to plain 2D geometry before generating KML (for compatibility).
Why do I see multiple placemarks sometimes?
If “Split placemarks” is enabled, MultiPoint/MultiLineString/MultiPolygon and GeometryCollections are split into multiple KML placemarks.
Can I control placemark names?
Yes. You can name placemarks by index (e.g., 1, 2.1, 2.2) or turn names off.
What CRS does KML use?
KML expects WGS84 lon/lat (EPSG:4326). This converter does not reproject—if your WKT is projected (meters), reproject first.
Can I preview the result?
Yes — we preview the normalized GeoJSON on the map below the tool.
