CSV to GeoJSON Converter — free & private

Paste a CSV (or upload) with a WKT column, lon/lat columns, or bbox columns and convert rows to a GeoJSON FeatureCollection. Runs fully in your browser.

FAQ

Is my CSV uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing and conversion run locally in your browser. Your CSV stays on your device.
What geometry inputs does this support?
Three modes: a WKT column, longitude + latitude columns (Points), or bbox columns (minx/miny/maxx/maxy) that become rectangle Polygons.
Which column names are auto-detected?
WKT: wkt, geometry, geom, the_geom. Lon/lat: lon/longitude/x/lng and lat/latitude/y. BBox: minx/miny/maxx/maxy, xmin/ymin/xmax/ymax, or west/south/east/north.
My file uses semicolons or tabs. Can you handle that?
Yes. Set the delimiter to comma, semicolon, or tab, and toggle whether the first row is a header.
Why are some rows missing from the output?
Rows are skipped if they have no geometry values (empty WKT, missing lon/lat, or incomplete bbox) or if the WKT cannot be parsed. The stats show how many were skipped as “No geom” or “Bad geom”.
Why does it say the export is limited?
Row limiting is enabled by default (5000 rows) to avoid freezing on huge CSVs. Disable “Limit rows” to export everything.
Do you keep geometry columns as properties too?
Optional. If “Drop geometry columns from properties” is enabled, geometry input columns are removed from properties to avoid duplication. Turn it off if you want to keep the original columns.
Does this set CRS for my coordinates?
No. GeoJSON here is just coordinates. For lon/lat and bbox, we assume you are giving WGS84 lon/lat (EPSG:4326). If your coordinates are projected (meters), they will plot in the wrong place unless you reproject first.
